“From Pitch to Publication”
Cohort North
Cohort North Publications is an independent publisher based in Northumberland, a stone's throw from Hadrian's Wall. We've just published our first title, and we're building a practical alternative for authors who want to see their work properly published without taking the traditional publishing route — or having to tackle every part of self-publishing alone.
From ISBNs and distribution to author websites and the practical work that goes on behind the scenes, our aim is to take some of the hurdles out of publishing, leaving authors more time to concentrate on what matters most: writing.

Worth Killing For
London, 1875.
When a dying stranger collapses in her father’s home with a mysterious parcel and a warning, they’re coming for you, Christabel Tomiska has no idea it will cost her everything. Within hours, her father is dead, her home is a crime scene, and she’s fleeing through London’s fog with a stolen diary that men far more dangerous than her would kill to possess. Taken in by the brother she barely knows, Christabel is pulled into a world of gang debts, double-crosses, and secrets her family spent years burying. As a self-styled lord and a hired killer close in, she must uncover the truth behind her father’s death.
What's Next
Publishing independently can be daunting. Finishing the manuscript is only the beginning — there are ISBNs, formatting, distribution, websites and countless other details to navigate before a book can find its way into a reader's hands.
We're developing Cohort North to make that journey simpler and more affordable. Our aim is to bring the practical parts of publishing together, helping authors produce professionally presented books with access to wider distribution, without having to figure out every step alone.
We're taking our time to build the right foundations before opening these services to other authors. As Cohort North grows, so will the support, resources and network of publishing professionals around it. Visit our About page to learn more about Cohort North and what we're building.
